Sponsor logos

Many web sites need a spot to acknowledge Sponsor or Partnerships and alliances. There are two main ways to approach this. Your choice will depend on how often the sponsor / partnerships are likely to change and what level of information you wish to include about each partner.

  1. Linked logos - a logo that simply links to the Sponsor / Partner web site
  2. Linked profiles - selecting the partner logo expands to provide further text / information about the organisation which might then include a link to their web site. (This requires creating a web page per sponsor /partner.)

Quality

Obtain logos that are good quality in size and resolution. Consider if you need to them supplied as reversed out "white" versions to work on a dark background or "dark" versions to work on a light background or full colour. Liaise with your partners - it's in their interest to supply you with what's needed to ensure their branding is right.

The key to having these look nice is to have the logos visually consistent in overall size, background colouring and enough space between them.

1. Linked Logos

Make sure you have a set of clean, good quality logos - and upload these to the panel or page you are working on.

Place each logo into the content area and use the "link" tool to add your "partner" web site address. Below is one example of a site set-up this way... scroll down further to learn how to do this.

Insert the images

Use the Insert /Edit Image icon to place each logo into the content area. Look at the "width" and "height" options - it's unlikely your logo would ever be much wider than 250 pixels.

Choose Justify paragraph setting - this will space out the logos.

Add the hyperlinks / link / URLS / web addresses

Use the Insert / Edit tool to add your links.

Keep doing this until you have added each sponsor.

Remember to use the Save button regularly and also to preview your page to see how it is shaping up.

2. Linked Sponsor Profiles

If you wish to provide more information about each sponsor or partner then try this method:

  • Make a new folder called something like "partner-profiles" and an online status of "hidden".
  • Inside your new folder create a basic page for each sponsor / partner with their profile text and logo.
  • On the "settings" for each profile page use their logo as the chosen "thumbnail"
  • Once these are all set-up - use the "card index" tool to pull-in and display your profiles.
It's also possible to add some bespoke styling code to create the desired effect on each "card" displayed - chat to your web person to liaise with us on any additional styling / code.
